On saturday, I discovered a perfect crop of chanterelles (girolles) while out walking in the woods near Strathblane, west of Glasgow in Scotland. 19th August 2016. Delicious.

Sometimes when I'm cooking or making something in the kitchen I'll do some before and after shots. This was the array of raw ingredients for a big pot of soup I made on Thursday. I thought the colours in the leeks were so fresh and I wanted to try combining the ingredients on photoshop. The soup was leek, carrot, parsnip and turnip with red lentils and vegetable stock. Ideal for wet winter Scottish days with buttered crusty bread. Thursday 6th March, Scotland.

I've only learned recently the attraction of fresh salad, but it's amazing how pretty it makes a meal. 19th January 2014 at my house. And no, you can't have any ! :)
