A walk on Christmas day quite a few years ago near my Uncle Ian's house in Bearsden, scanned from 35mm print. Always wanted to do something with this photo. Will dig out the negative and see if it copes with enlargement. Scotland 2000.

Gone a bit domesticated this Autumn. Wanted to try making rosehip jelly, so picked these locally off the wild rose bushes. Collected 1½lbs (750g) and added to 3lbs cooking apples and sugar. End result was 2lbs of delicious orange coloured, apricot tasting jelly. Bridge Of Weir, Scotland 23rd September 2014.

This mountain ridge is called The Buachaille Etive Mor and is the striking mountain you see as you drive north on the A82 as you enter Glen Coe. Beautiful in all weathers, in winter it is majestic. I've been on the summit of Stob Dearg, pictured left about 6 times, several times in conditions like this. 22nd March 2014, Scotland.

Taken on February 12th 2007 - YES, I know I'm a bit late! Bridge Of Weir, Scotland. This is a fungus called Sarcoscypha coccinea "fungus found occasionally in moist forests of the Pacific northwest" - looks like this one is a long way from home!

This is quite possibly the best example of what draws me to the mountains. I'm lucky that I get to see these places in my country, that the majority don't know exist.
