A Silver Springs souvenir folder with a photo positioned so that it looks like we're peering into the front of the boat to see the smiling passengers inside. Silver Springs is a Florida tourist attraction -- and now a state park -- known for its artesian springs and glass-bottom boat rides. For an earlier example, see another Glass Bottom Boat Ride photo and folder.

Richfield Autopia Driver's License, Disneyland, An…

06 Oct 2017 3 1 1076
A 1950s ticket and license for driving the cars at the Autopia ride, which was--and still is--located in the Tomorrowland area of Disneyland . The Richfield Oil Corporation , which operated a chain of gas stations in the 1950s, sponsored the Autopia ride, so it's not surprising that the license also doubled as a membership card for the "Richfield Autopia Safe Driving Club." The main benefit of the club, as stated on the license, was "friendly, courteous service at more than 4,000 Richfield stations in the West," so it served as an advertisement as well. For other versions of this ticket / driver's license / membership card / advertisement, see the Official Driver's License for Autopia posting on the Vintage Disneyland Tickets blog. Richfield Autopia, Tomorrowland These are the cars of the future at Disneyland. This official Autopia Driver's License may be filled in and retained as a souvenir of your visit to Disneyland. It identifies you as an active member of the Richfield Autopia Safe Driving Club. It entitles you to friendly, courteous service at more than 4,000 Richfield stations in the West. Electrical Department, Luna Park, 1910

23 Jul 2017 6 3 946
The caption on this photo tells us that these fellows worked in the Electrical Department at Luna Park in 1910. But was it the original Luna Park at Coney Island ? And what location in the park did they choose for their photo? Looks like they may be sitting on a flume or water-chute, and there's a water wheel behind them, so perhaps it's some kind of water ride. Mouse over the image above for a closer view of the men.

Glass Bottom Boat Ride at Silver Springs, Florida

23 Apr 2015 3 1475
"My Glass Bottom Boat Ride at Silver Springs. Walter Ray." A cleverly constructed souvenir folder and photo, positioned together so that it seems like we're peering into the front of the boat to see the passengers inside. Silver Springs is a long-standing Florida tourist attraction (and more recently a state park ) known for its artesian springs and glass-bottom boat rides. Walter Ray, for whom the boat is named, was one of the co-owners of Silver Springs. For a similar image, see PopCulture's glass-bottom boat photo .

Miniature Railway Ticket, Willow Grove Park, 1924

Paddan Canal Boat Ride, Gothenburg, Sweden, July 1…

04 Jan 2021 1 371
A photo of crowds, throngs, or hordes (a big bunch of people) for the Vintage Photos Theme Park. Handwritten note on the back of this real photo postcard: "July 1957. Our boat ride around canal in Gothenburg, Sweden. Beautiful day." More than fifty passengers are crowded into this "paddan" canal boat. Paddan means "turtle" in Swedish, and the boats are named for their turtle-like profile (imagine an upside-down turtle shell), which allows them to pass safely underneath the low bridges along the Gothenburg canals.
