A beautiful specimen of a male Pardosa amentana, a very common type of 'wolf' spider that is frequently found in UK gardens. Shrewsbury, Shropshire 19th April 2021.

A fine female specimen of the spider Nigma walckenaeri. Shrewsbury, Shropshire, September 2018. This species has only been recently recorded from Shropshire for the first time.

A mating pair of spiders, Tetragnatha extensa I think, taken at Venus Pool Shropshire back in June 2011. The male spider can be seen transferring sperm from its palp to the females epigyne, from here she transfers it to her spermathecae where it will be stored until she uses it to fertilise her eggs.. Taken in natural light and uncropped.
