LOUISE LABLACHE 1858-1926 French Mezzo Soprano Louise Lablache was the granddaughter of the famous bass Luigi Lablache and was married to the Rumanian Tenor Giovanni Dimitrescu.She had a notable international career. Perhaps the highlight was her debut at the New York Met, in the role of Marthe in Faust.
