press Z, please After a month the small plants are transplanted to other, more spacious and not so hot greenhouses. www.ipernity.com/doc/842043/49092382 Four months after the definitive planting the “smoke” operation is performed. This operation consists of burning vegetables inside the greenhouses in order to “intoxicate” the plants, forcing them to flourish all at the same time, thus controlling the production cycles. Tea Factory and “Orange Pekoe” tea

29 Aug 2019 13 22 213
in black, please The factory was founded in the 1920s. After the tea production process is completed, selection begins. This selection results in three types of tea, depending on the quality of the leaves that gave rise to them. The most perfect and strong tea is the so-called "Orange Pekoe", obtained only from the bud and the first leaf of the bud. This denomination was a tribute to the Dutch princes of the House of Orange, the first on the European continent to market the tea. The second term refers to the Chinese language meaning "young". Tea plantations

26 Aug 2019 22 31 222
Camellia sinensis is a species of evergreen shrub or small tree whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce tea. In the Azores archipelago this plant is grown on some plantations, especially on São Miguel Island and these are the only known Camellia sinensis tea plantations in all of Europe. The mild climate and a rich volcanic soil are favorable for tea production The first tea plants arrived in the Azores from Brazil in the 18th century and initially it was an ornamental plant The tea plantations and the manufacture were later boosted by the “Society for the Promotion of Agriculture”, which in 1878 took two Chinese to S. Miguel to teach the locals the process of production. Many thanks for your visit, kind comments and favs

The sounds of bells

25 Aug 2019 18 26 239
The Bells, by Edgar Allan Poe Hear the sledges with the bells- Silver bells! What a world of merriment their melody foretells! … Hear the mellow wedding bells- Golden bells! What a world of happiness their harmony foretells! … Hear the loud alarum bells- Brazen bells! What tale of terror, now, their turbulency tells … Hear the tolling of the bells- Iron bells! What a world of solemn thought their monody compels … Many thanks for your visit, kind comments and favs
