After lunch at Vila Baleira, I and my wife decided to walk along the beach to Ponta da Calheta - about 9 km, almost 2 hours. Fortunately it wasn't too hot and we made it without a single bottle of water. Still we had to have fresh drinks in the end. This photo was taken about halfway between Vila Baleira and Ponta da Calheta (eastern Porto Santo coast).

At Ponta da Calheta, south of Porto Santo Island. By high-tide, these rocks are surrounded by the water.
