Both stand at Paço das Escolas, Coimbra. This university, as an institution, dates back to 1290. Initially it was established in Lisbon, until 1308; then moved to Coimbra, until 1338; then moved back to Lisbon, until 1354; then moved back to Coimbra, until 1377; then moved back to Lisbon, until 1537; then moved back to Coimbra, for good, putting an end to the geographic seesaw. It's UNESCO heritage since 2013.

This chapel is part of the old Royal Palace, that later housed the Coimbra University. Achieved in the 16th century, its interior was improved in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was classified as UNESCO heritage in 2013. Location: Paço das Escolas, Coimbra.
