From Lutcha Viewpoint, Mindelo, São Vicente Islands, Cape Verde. On the background stands Mount Cara, with Lazareto by the coast. Dark clouds prevailed most of the time (September is the rainy season), but rain was no more than a drizzle, except for an afternoon, when an umbrella became very convenient.

"Cara" means "face" and it looks like a lying face. Mount Face is also known as Washington's Head. This view was taken from the outside of Mindelo's fish market, in São Vicente Island, Cape Verde.
