Initially it was destinated to the monks of the Order of the Hospitallers; during the Renaissance period it was affected to the Order of Malta, until being abandoned in the 18th century. Restored in the 20th century, it became a charm hotel at Flor da Rosa - a civil parish of Crato.

On the left bank of River Mondego, Coimbra. The frequent floods of River Mondego brought about damages and an increasing decay of the convent, abandoned in 1677. The nuns moved to the New Saint Claire Convent, built in the 17th century. After the restoration of this medieval church, it was closed to visitors for a while, owing to floods in the 21st century.

This church is also a shrine and a pilgrimage occurs on the municipal holiday - on the monday 8 days after Easter sunday. This massive architecture was inspired in fortresses, in order to ensure protection against invaders - in the 14th century such possibility was not excluded.

This 14th century castle seems to be tied with ropes all around. It's the Castle of Evoramonte (also spelt Évora Monte), standing on top of the walled part of the village, a civil parish of Estremoz council, northeast of Évora.
