Spotted under a street information panel at University Square, Wrocław. In the 1980's local art students used to paint dwarfs wherever slogans or murals against the regime were erased. Since 2001 the dwarfs' theme was brought back with the insertion of bronze dwarfs in the city. They became so popular that some were ordered by shop owners, soon becoming a symbol of the city. Now there are more than 300 in Wrocław and finding as much of them as possible became a challenge for visitors who linger there long enough.
