RISING TO THE OCCASSION (OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM) : Petty Officer 3rd Class Antoine Giacometti, an aerographer's mate, programs information into a weather data receiver before the release of a weather balloon at a forward operating location June 21, 2005. The receiver needs to be programmed to ensure information from the transmitter on the weather balloon can be received and decoded by weather equipment. (Staff Sgt. Jocelyn Rich). On top of the Vaisala MW12 received, there is an Electrical Storm Identification Device (ESID).
