POSTCARD Date: Not evident. Unposted. Publisher / Photographer: Unidentified Notation: Located at 219 Provencher Avenue, the Town Hall was opened in the spring of 1906. To compensate for cost overruns, however, the builder had decided to modify the original plans and forgo the imposing tower in favour of a rather squat little dome. The public was outraged by the "behive" as it was dubbed, and by 1908 had forced the builder to rebuild the tower in keeping with the original plans.
