Posted: December 29, 1903 from Winnipeg to France Publisher: Unidentified This is a very early real photo postcard of Winnipeg. It is printed on postcard stock from the Societe Lumiere in Lyon, France. The sender is writing (in French) to his/her Cousin, Mademoiselle Marie Dugat in Creuse, France. I suspect he/she may be the photographer as well. Although, while it isn't clearly evident, the image does have a caption at the bottom which appears to read "Winnipeg Post Office". This suggests that this card may have been produced. commercially.
