Same image of Winnipeg Beach was used on a Martel's postcard. Handwritten message reads; "We spent yesterday at this beach it is about 50 miles out of Winnipeg quite a lovely spot like looking out on the ocean in only one small spot can one see land Hoping to hear from you this week."

Went to Winnipeg Beach Sat. to a Water Carnival and had a fine time. To-night we are going to the new Theatre to hear Mrs. Fiske in "Salvation Nell". answer this soon, lovingly, Edith Kent (?) Am coming home soon." Of particular interest in the image: Card is numbered on the front but very difficult to decipher. appears to be #A.78787.

I thought it was a real photo when I bought it (online), but it is a black & white lithograph. Nevertheless, it shows a view of the Empress Hotel that I have not seen. On the reverse nothing more is printed than POST CARD and a verical line up the middle.

Cards in the set have a "pinkish" tint, Identical font used in the titles, and low pixelation - making the images somewhat less than crisp. This one was sent to a Mr. E. P. Brooks at Louise Bridge, Manitoba.
