POSTCARD
Date: Not evident. Not Posted.
Publisher / Photographer: Unidentified.
Notation: Interestingly enough, there is no current Burrows Avenue in Dauphin. I assume that it has been renamed, but no one I have contacted in Dauphin (City Offices, Land Titles, etc.knows anything about it. Burrows avenue is also the address for the boot makers card that I recently acquired: MN1137 DAUPHIN - TOSELAND & SON - BOOTMAKERS
I found this text from the Dauphin Herald September 19, 1946: "The Dauphin Herald & Press Is Published Every Thursday by The Dauphin Herald Co. Ltd. at its office, Burrows Avenue, Dauphin, Manitoba". It was obviously one of the busy commercial streets - and nobody in Dauphin knows about it?

POSTCARD
Date: Not Posted. Handwritten note indicated July 1907.
Publisher / Photographer: Unidentified
Notation: This card is printed on an undivided Cyko back - supporting the early date of this card.
The fist time that I saw this image, I was immediately drawn to it. For a couple of years, however, I was unable to confirm its location. Many hours of online research were fruitless. The distinctive steeple was the key, but I just couldn't find a matching image anywhere.
Oddly, just weeks ago I was looking at a card that has been in my collection for many years - a "children's parade" in 1907 Dauphin. For the fist time, I recognized a steeple in the background that was a perfect match for this one - confirming that this church, indeed, was located in Dauphin.
