On the Hill to the right you can see some small trees and at the bottom ib the valley is Mr. Johnston's wood lot - the valley is a half mile wide. That's our way home to the left and around that bank. the river is at the bottom passes just behind the bandstand, around the town 200 yards below the cross again..." The "X" on the right bottom corner is apparently where the new bank is to be built.
