PHOTOGRAPH 6 X 10 cm Date: As written on border: July 19, 1923 Publisher / Photographer: This was from a set of photos taken by a traveller who came up to Manitoba through the central U.S., headed east to the Maritimes, and continued south through the eastern U.S. Notation: This appears to be a storefront at Victoria Beach. The man on the steps appears in many of the other photos and must be the travelling companion of the photographer. An aboriginal woman and two of her children are on the platform behind him. Ltd., Montreal Notation: Sent on August 4 to Miss Harriett Hodgson in Lincolnshire, England; "Dear Harriett, Just a card from Vivtoria Beach hoping Mother & Dad & you are well. We are going home tomorrow after a week here.Douglas has been down that slide lots of times & goes splashing in the water. Oswald looks much better for the change - & I have got all burnt in the sun today ~ love to all. I will write on Sunday."
