Press, W'p'g Notation: Handwritten note on the reverse; "Rec'd [received] the P.C. [postcard] also letter. The P.C. brought back old times. It is fine. will write when we finish threshing. Expect to start to-day. Florence has another boy. born 28 Aug. We have had Exhibition weather this month. So hot but turned a little cooler yesterday. This is our temperance Hotel on the other side."

At some time I'll need to learn more about this troop. Buy the number of kids hanging around and their proximity to these fellows and their horses, I'd venture to say that they maintained good community relations.
