Notation: Interestingly, most if not all of the First Nations folks who were part of the show at the Winnipeg Stampede were from Alberta. The organiser, Guy Weadick recruited them because they had done such a great job at his stampede in Calgary in 1912.

Notation: On October 18, 1913, within a month of first being filled with grain, the brand new CPR grain elevator began to sink on the west side. When finished, it had sunk 24 feet, leaving the structure 27 degrees off centre. Happily, by October 27, 1914 it had been straightened and secured.
