iNaturalist tells me this is a peace lilly. I used my macro lens to capture this during a photo club field trip to the Regina Floral Conservatory in mid-February. What a treat it is to spend a couple of hours on a winter evening, seeing the flowers in bloom.

In February the photo club I belong to makes a field trip to the local Conservatory. It' s a welcome winter break I look forward to. My naturalist app tells me this is an upright prairie coneflower. I had a great time attempting to find the best angle for this colourful flower.

This was one of the first photos I took while visiting the local conservatory last February. My camera gear was still cold, and fogged up when it hit the warm, moist air inside the conservatory. It was an unintended effect, but I decided it had its own charm.

A visit to Regina's Floral Conservatory wouldn't be complete without some photos of the large round cacti growing there.

A mid-winter visit to the Floral Conservatory is always a boost for the spirit. This was the first flower I photographed, without realizing that the heat and humidity had fogged my lens. A happy accident, I think.
