I saw this beetle in a ditch beside a grid road in southeastern Saskatchewan. I needed an app to identify it as Nutall's blister beetle. I have yet to learn why it's called a blister beetle.

I used a somewhat longer exposure to slow down the water, and while editing I thought the rocks and the algae made for an abstract look. This was taken from an abandoned bridge overlooking Pipestone Creek in southeastern Saskatchewan.
