The short grass prairie on the Wideview property provides habitat for a variety of plants and animals. I spent hours hiking and exploring during a conservation volunteer event there in June 2017.

Looking at this fence line at Wideview, I thought of the time and effort (and Money) required to build it. I suppose it would make it easier to find your way back to your parked car, somewhere along the horizon line.

This was a grab shot taken at a Nature Conservancy property in southern Saskatchewan. A longer lens might have produced a better image. I cropped this image aggressively to eliminate a lot of empty space. I'm not sure what bird this is. Suggestions welcomed.

In June 2017 Nature Conservancy Canada invited volunteers to explore a recently acquired property called Wideview, in southern Saskatchewan. This short grass prairie is habitat for an astounding variety of plants and animals. The area was called Wideview by settlers, including a school, so the name used by the NCC certainly fits.

I think this is a golden eagle, captured in flight over an area of southern Saskatchewan known as Wideview.
