out of the fog 2

I was setting up along a pathway in Wascana Park to catch the sunrise above the morning fog, when I heard a whirring sound. I was able to capture a few images of a cyclist coming over a rise toward me. It was over in a matter of seconds.

A neighbour's fence is covered with a tangle of vines. This is what one of the flowers on a vine looks like after a long winter exposed to the elements. I took this as an exercise in using a new macro lens.

The driver's side headlights on a Dodge Mayfair, seen on a nearby street. The Mayfair was built for the Canadian market, and based on the Plymouth Belvedere sold in the US. My guess is that this is a 1957 or 58 model.

While on a walk around my neighbourhood I saw this vintage Dodge Mayfair parked on the street. It is in good shape, but clearly still a work in progress. I think it is a 1957 or 58 model. Cars of that era featured plenty of chrome, curves and fins.

A blooming crocus showing the fuzzy hairs that trap any available warmth, one of the characteristics that enables it to survive the often chilly nights, or even late snowfalls in this part of the world.

Crocuses are the first flowers to bloom hereabouts. They are challenging because they are surrounded by litter left over from winter, and they don't bloom for long. This was taken on the edge of the Qu'Appelle Valley north of Regina.
