A snapshot of the Qu'Appelle River winding through the valley of the same name, on an autumn morning. The river is typically low at this time of year, unless there have been recent heavy rains. The high water mark along the banks is usually set by the high volume of spring run-off.

The driver of the pickup truck had considerately moved to the far side of the road and slowed down as he or she passed. This was taken on the Seven Bridges Road in the Qu'Appelle Valley, as the trees are taking on their fall colours.

I was taking photos of the fall colours in the Qu'Appelle Valley when I heard the crunch of tires on the gravel road. By the time I set up for a shot of the cyclist he had traveled well past me, but I took this image anyway.
