A singular example of the concrete "rainbow arch" bridges that were built in Saskatchewan decades ago. This one no longer serves its original purpose, as the road is closed. It remains as a photographer's delight.

Rainbow arch bridges were built all over Saskatchewan in the province's early days, with the arches repeated according the the span to be crossed. I think this six arch bridge near Scotsgard is the only one in the province.

A concrete rainbow arch bridge over the Qu'Appelle River; once part of Saskatchewan Highway 6. The newer aligned highway runs through the valley about a kilometre to the East. This image was taken on a September morning with the temperature at 2C, and heavy fog.
