Another early morning view of a poplar log and mud house which I believe was built in 1912 by a man named Ruzicka. The smaller portion of the building in the foreground housed animals, and there was a doorway from the main house to the animal coop.

As far as I know, very few poplar log and mud houses are still standing in Saskatchewan. as the elements take their toll. This one was built around 1912, and will eventually return to the earth.
