I'm attracted to the sculptural aspects of machines, such as the grille of a 1941 Fargo truck, manufactured for the US Army. The many different coats of paint add to the appeal, and suggest possible stories of travels made before the truck came to rest. This 1941 Fargo truck first had a coat of Olive Drab paint, since it likely served in the military during WWII. It has been painted in other colours since, which makes for interesting patterns as it has weathered. Here I desaturated the colours almost to black and white.
