A sunrise over Wascana Lake on the day of the summer solstice, June 20, 2024. The morning fog was a bonus, softening the scene and giving it an impressionistic quality.

I rolled out of bed on the longest day of the year - more correctly, the day of the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere - in time to reach Wascana Lake just before sunrise. The light was changing quickly, so I took these images with my phone, just in case.
