The historic Claybank Brick Plant had eight beehive kilns to fire the molded bricks. This image is a close-up of an arch over the entry door into one of the kilns. This was built around 1912.

Bricks salvaged from some demolished buildings are stored in the sheds at the historic Brick Plant at Claybank, Saskatchewan. The random mix of colours, textures and rows caught my attention.

A portion of the claypit located south of the brickworks at Claybank, Saskatchewan, just after sunrise, The high-quality clay mined from the pit was used to make refractory brick, used to line boilers, locomotives and other similar uses.

Not really a building, but a beehive kiln at the Claybank Brick Plant National Historic Site. The plant opened in 1912, and eventually had 10 beehive kilns firing face brick and high-temperature bricks for industrial purposes.
