An elevator and caboose located by a railway siding at the south end of Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. Both offer a look into the early history of the town, but could use some TLC.

Gravelbourg Court House

A view of the Court House at Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. In the early days they provincial government had an ambitious program of constructing graceful public buildings, such as court houses and land titles offices. This is an example that has been well maintained.

Gravelbourg Co-Cathedral

The cathedral in Gravelbourg, a Francsaskois town in southern Saskatchewan. The cathedral was built on a high point of land at the top of the main street, so that its spires can be seen anywhere in towns, and from a good distance as you approach the town. I have yet to see the interior in person.

Gravelbourg elevator and caboose

A relatively small grain elevator beside a caboose in the Franksaskois town of Gravelbourg. The town doesn't seem to promote the elevator as an attraction, although it and the caboose are well maintained. The mural on the caboose depicts settlers arriving at the railway station, which now houses a small business.
