Castle Butte is a tourist draw in southern Saskatchewan, inviting thousands of people who climb it every year. I don't know the name of the butte on the right, but I decided it could use some love, too.

People enjoying the view of the Big Muddy Valley from atop Castle Butte. It was about 33C that day, so I expect they had worked up a sweat making the climb.

While hiking around Castle Butte I noticed two young Indigenous dancers producing a video of their dancing, with the help of the lady in the dark clothing. It was about 32C, so they were taking a break while they prepared for the next segment of their video.

Castle Butte is one of the most photographed locations in Saskatchewan, so finding a different perspective is a challenge. I decided to sit on the trail leading to the butte to achieve a low-level perspective. Don’t use this image on websites, blogs or other media without explicit permission.
