At first I thought there was a carrot and a stick resting on top of this log across Swift Current Creek, but the orange object is a pine cone glowing in the sunlight.

A warmer-than-usual September means some of the leaves in Pine Cree Regional Park have changed colour, while others remain green for a while longer.
