Another perspective on a bend in the Qu'Appelle River as it meanders along the floor of the Valley with the same name. This image was taken from the side of 7 Bridges Road, which is an accurate name because the river meanders a lot.

I had hoped to show the entire bend in the Qu'Appelle River from this vantage point, but the barbed wire fence made that impossible. You can see in the sandy area in the foreground that many animals come there to drink. This image was taken near Lumsden, Saskatchewan.

An abandoned house beside the Qu'Appelle River, in the valley of the same name. Even though Lumsden and Craven are close by, and there are houses and farm buildings on both sides of the valley, this house has a lonely and isolated look to it. Concrete bridges with their graceful arches were built all over Saskatchewan decades ago, but many have been abandoned. This bridge over the Qu'Appelle River once carried traffic on Highway 6, north of Regina.
