Shaunavon, Saskatchewan serves a large surrounding agricultural area, so it is fitting that a mural on a downtown building would depict a farmer field scouting - checking the condition of the crop. This practices is becoming less common, however, as farmers use drones or satellite imagery to monitor their crops.

During an evening walk around Shaunavon I discovered the town hall, which is located in a park-like setting, one block wide and two blocks long. This lovely brick building expresses the optimism that was widespread in the early years of Saskatchewan's history.
