This locomotive, with a power unit and a string of passenger cars from different railways trailing behind, was on a siding at Eastend, Saskatchewan. A search for Keokuk identified the locomotive and the power unit as from a short-line railway in Iowa. There must be a story about how it ended up in Eastend.

CP Rail is staging a tour of Canada, the US and Mexico with this locomotive to mark the merger with Kansas City Southern railway, making it CPKC. This locomotive, the Empress, was built in 1930 and is painted in the CP Rail colours of that day. It made a stop in Moose Jaw as part of the tour. About 1000 people came out to see the train, so getting good photographs was a challenge.
