Farmers on the Prairies must have bought boatloads of red barn paint for their buildings. The paint on these sheds is weathered, but still stand out in this field of canola.

A stable at the southern end of the Cypress Hills, in southwestern Saskatchewan.

A modest size barn for this area, that has experienced years of use, seen on a late winter day. The barn is located near a busy highway, making it easy for the photographer to capture the image.

This church sits on a fenced-off area of what is likely a farmer's quarter section of land, in southwest Saskatchewan, near the border with Montana. I decided to try converting the image to (almost) black and white, since the weathered building and the sky seemed to suggest the mood of loneliness and abandonment.
