An impressive stone and brick house with a not-so-impressive wooden addition, located off a lonely side road, somewhere east of Saskatoon.

During an evening walk around Shaunavon I discovered the town hall, which is located in a park-like setting, one block wide and two blocks long. This lovely brick building expresses the optimism that was widespread in the early years of Saskatchewan's history.

An impressive stone and brick school in a community called Summerberry. It looks as though the community was a modest one, but the school is surprisingly large.

Many of the public buildings built by the first provincial governments of Saskatchewan were architectural gems, like this Court House in Estevan.
