William (Bill) Armstrong's photos with the keyword: copper

On the way home from a meeting it was impossible to miss the copper-coloured orb in the sky. I drove to a vantage point near the University of Regina, using my phone to capture this image of the setting sun. I noticed two other people nearby were also using their phones to capture this fleeting moment.

In 2015 and 16 Saskatchewan's Legislative Building was repaired and refurbished. The last major work was to repair the dome, including installing new copper sheathing. Once the scaffolding was removed I made several early morning trips to take photos of the dome, because the copper would soon begin to oxidize and turn a darker greenish shade. I made this image in November 2016.
