chrome and red

A headlight and some other chrome bits of a restored late 1950s Chevrolet, if I recall correctly. The chrome shade over the headlight was a popular, and relatively cheap, aftermarket add-on at that time.

40 Ford grille

I think the front end of the 1940 Ford is one of the most curvaceous pieces of stamped sheet metal ever made. When I saw one at a show and shine I tried to capture it.

Buick portholes

Non-functional chrome portholes along the fender line of a car was an easy giveaway that it was a Buick, back in the day. The aqua green and cream paint scheme was also common during the 1950s and 60s.

DeSoto chrome

A nice restoration of an upscale car brand that no longer exists.

flatheads forever

The distinctive chrome V8 identified Ford vehicles in the 1930s and 40s that were powered by flathead V8 engines. Ford didn't change over the overhead valve engines until the early 1950s.

BelAir brake lights

Brake lights on a restored 1963 Chevy BelAir, as seen at a show and shine in Regina in September. The blue and white paint scheme was an attention-getter.
