A macro view of my favourite lilies, taken at the height of their reproductive power.

I look forward to these distinctively coloured lilies blooming every summer. They are located behind a fence, and are neglected, so I water them and do a little weeding to help them along.

A distinctive type of lily that grows in a couple of places in my back garden. Macro photography is difficult, but these lilies are so bright and attractive that I keep going back and trying again.

What a delight it is to walk through a community garden near my home on a summer even ing and see vibrant growth all around, including a profusion of lilies.
