Another view of (I assume) a mother goose watching over two of her three goslings. (The third one liked to wander out of the frame.) The geese that live in Wascana Lake are used to having humans around. This one has been banded; a task I'd not want to take on.

There are a lot of Canada Geese in Wascana Park in the spring and summer. They show up everywhere. There is a building on Pine Island in Wascana Lake that is used as an observation post during rowing competitions. This one was giving me the eye from a perch on a windowsill.

A solitary goose begins another day on Wascana Lake, with the early sun on the provincial Legislature in the background.
