I drove to a favourite location in heavy mist to capture these grain bins by a field of canola. The mist gave the scene a different look from the usual prairie sunlight.

During a visit to the Cypress Hills the weather was unusually wet, including two days with mist caused by still, saturated air. The muted light and the mist turned the usual greenery into an almost monochrome scene.

Driving west on the Trans-Canada Highway I spotted mist above a small wetland - commonly called a slough - beside a side road north of the highway. The sun was beginning to rise into a cloudy sky, creating an unusual colour and adding a tint to the mist.

At its narrowest point the water that roars down Nistowiak Falls boils through, creating clouds of mist. Capturing an image that wasn't just a blob of water was a challenge.
