A photo buddy, Lynn, heading toward the abandoned grain elevator at a place called Moreland. The story is that when two surveyors for a railway branch line asked a local homesteader what they could expect to find ahead, he said "More land."

A grain elevator and some trees are all that is left of a community called Moreland. The rail line was removed years ago, and the elevator is gradually succumbing to the elements. Buildings of a nearby farm can just be seen in the distance.

When railway surveyors came through this area to survey for a branch line they reportedly asked local rancher Bill Parry what they could expect to find ahead. He is reported to have answered "more land", which became the name of this hamlet along the rail line. The grain elevator, a few trees and a historic plaque now mark the location.
