I had driven out of the city in the hope of capturing some images of the Aurora Borealis, but a band of wildfire smoke has rolled in, eliminating that possibility. On a side road I saw the sheds and granaries silhoutted against a muted evening sky, about a half-hour before sunset.

A wooden shed that has passed its prime needs help from a neighbouring granaries to stay somewhat erect. This image was taken near Wascana Creek, northwest of Regina, Saskatchewan.

A favourite photogenic barn located just a few kilometres outside my hometown. As best I know, the barn was built in 1912, near the community of Rowatt, Saskatchewan. On this day the vegetation was crisp with frost and the top layer of soil was beginning to freeze. Good conditions for photo-making.
