This image was taken looking west, from the western edge of Regina. It was the blue hour, but the setting sun hidden behind a cloud bank did produce some orange light to contrast with the blue.

After a couple of days of overcast the clearing skies were welcome, adding more colour to the landscape in Prince Albert National Park. I didn't see the hole in the cloud until I edited the photo, but I think the hold and its reflection add to the image.

As wintry weather lingers, here is a look back at a field of canola ripening under the big sky, in late July.

The sunrise was blocked by a layer of cloud near the horizon, but the did light up the cloud projecting upward, creating a reflection on Wascana Lake.

After a very warm day there was a thunderstorm warning. Some active skies developed just west of Regina about two hours before sunset.

An unusually calm morning at the south end of the Cypress Hills, with mist in low-lying areas and bands of cloud above.

Among photographers I know this is an example of "God's rays." This kind of image is a staple of inspirational literature and funeral cards. It was fun capturing images like this, on a Sunday morning, no less.
