Revisiting photos from a spectacular sunrise over Wascana Lake from a few years ago, I decided to process this one, showing the fountain in the lake (at least in the summer months).

The fountain in Wascana Lake operates during the summer until freeze-up, when it is removed for the winter. Some of the best sunrises occur in October, before the ice begins to form on the lake.

This photo was taken on an October morning, before Wascana Lake began to freeze up. Sunrises and sunsets can be spectacular at this time of year, and this is the sunrise that I saw on that morning.

When Wascana Lake was deepened about a decade ago one of the features added was a fountain near the north shore of the lake. On a foggy July morning it is just visible from the south side of the lake.
