The sun rising g over Wascana Lake, seen through some of the Art Deco balusters that line the Albert Memorial Bridge in Regina. The bridge is a heritage property, and the balusters were refurbished when the bridge was rebuilt about ten years ago. However the signs of weathering are evident over the past decade or so.

The Albert Memorial Bridge is a municipal heritage property, built in the 1930s. The Art Deco balusters that line each side of the bridge were refurbished in 2012, but the seasons take their toll. The balusters on the east side are easily accessible, which makes them a worthy subject for taking images in early morning light.

Balusters on a portion of the Albert Memorial Bridge in Regina. The bridge was built in the 1930s as a make-work project. The balusters have a ceramic glaze, displaying Art Deco designs and colours. About ten years ago the balusters were removed and renewed while the bridge was being rebuilt. The east side is the most accessible for photography and the golden hour light shows off the balusters to the best effect.
