A thunderstorm warning had been issued, and the sky to the north was dark. I headed to this field, which is between a grocery store on one side and a gas bar on the other, with the Regina airport to the north. A low angle eliminated some distracting vehicles and a dirt pile in the background.

Empty lots in towns and villages sometimes bring thoughts of what has been lost, but this sunflower plant in a vacant space showed how a place can be re-purposed with bright and vibrant colours.
