I had taken a photo of a pair of ducks nestled by the shore of Wascana Lake from a nearby footpath. However, one of the ducks had hidden part of its head, so I edited the image to focus on the more animated of the two.

It is always tempting to anthropomorphize animal behaviour when I see something that looks like human actions. Still, I think this duck is showing (his or her) yoga moves.

While walking along a pathway in Wascana Park I saw a duck by the edge of the lake. At first I thought it was injured or dead, but this duck and a few others were resting, just a few metres from the pathway. They are habituated to humans, walking, jogging or cycling by.
